Maximize the Full Moon Magic

December 7th, 2022, will be the final full moon of the year. It is also known as the Cold Moon. Harness the power of the full moon and create some warmth during this cold time as winter approaches by turning inward and becoming receptive to the moon’s light shining on us.

The natural rhythms of the universe are unquestionably present and felt, especially during the full moon. Big emotions come to the surface just like the full moon’s energy peaks and then releases. As we align ourselves with nature’s cycles, we can tune into a better and deeper understanding of how to live our life with more intention and purpose.

Each phase in the moon’s cycle brings about a change of energy and affects the rhythm in our body, mind, heart, and soul. We can learn to make that energy work for us instead of blaming the moon. Make time for yourself to start fresh, just like the moon itself does at the end of this cycle as it gets ready to start over.

During the full moon, the high tide occurs when the ocean’s water advances to its furthest extent onto the shoreline. Human beings are about 70% water, and our emotions also feel that pull. It becomes harder to keep emotions contained when feelings run high. Along with the heightened emotional reactions, we are also easily triggered into high levels of frustration and drama, along with having difficulty sleeping.

The moon shines a light on the darkness and brings your attention to what we need to let go of. The light helps raise our awareness and our ability to receive insights and find inspiration.

It is the time to relax, release, reset, reflect, recharge, and reconnect.

Relax – Chill out. Clean out your space, mind, and body as you let go of excess baggage, old stuff, and unnecessary energy. This is the time to practice self-care and stress management. Take special care of yourself; unwind by taking a bath, pamper yourself, dance, move your body, or share a candlelit dinner with someone special.

Reset – Hit that pause button and check in on your emotions and your body. This is a good time to finish up unfinished business and projects.

Reflect – Meditation allows you to make time to go within. Let yourself sit with the moon and your emotions and see what comes up. Deep breathing exercises help you stay grounded. Only when we are still can we see and understand what is going on inside and around you.

Recharge – Nature has such a healing effect on us and brings clarity and calmness to our mind and body. Get outdoors and enjoy a walk in the moonlight or a hike in the woods.

Reconnect – Journaling is about taking note (literally) of how you show up to your emotions and situational challenges, as well as how you relate to yourself and others. Write down what you are thankful for. Write down your intentions and state your affirmations out loud. During the full moon, you can supercharge your innermost wishes by making a wish with gratitude.

Reconnect with yourself and align with the natural cycles of the moon. As you gain a new perspective, make the choice to remain aware instead of becoming reactive. Just as the full moon’s energy peaks and then releases, you need to slow down, ground yourself, and prepare to release the old and make room for the new. You can manifest what you truly desire.

Synchronize your rhythm with nature’s rhythm and tap into the moon’s energy of healing, renewal, intuition, and wisdom.

Make a wish and allow the universe to guide you in making your dreams come true.

Let the magic begin!
