Harness the Power of Spring

SPRING EQUINOX, MARCH 20

Spring is in the air!

Finally, the dark cold days of winter are over as we welcome the increased amount of sunlight with earlier sunrises and later sunsets. The Spring Equinox is officially the arrival of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Equinox comes from the latin words aequus (equal) and nox (night) meaning equal day and night, hence the name.

Time to dust off those winter blues and greys and get into the explosions of spring colors filled with sun kissed days and new beginnings.

Spring is a highly charged time to embrace the energies of the sun and the mother earth as well as the energies of rebirth, renewal, abundance and creativity. New growth is everywhere, even in the cracks of the sidewalks.

Just like spring is waking up, the warm, fresh energy is also enticing us to feel alive, to get inspired and to be excited.

Just like spring brings more light, we also gain clarity as to what we want to grow in our lives. While the winter was spent reflecting and resting as we planned our next move, spring is a potent portal for planting our intentions and tending to our dreams. Use the powerful growth energy to bring your goals and ideas into reality. The clearer you are, the more power to grow and harvest those seeds as you transform your life.

Just as spring represents a new day and a new beginning, we are also getting ready to make a fresh start, like a clean slate where anything is possible. We can manifest our authentic desires as long as we stay connected with our Higher Self, our true power and light. As we join forces with the divine energy around us, we can create ourselves anew. We feel more confident and passionate as we let go of our doubts and fears. Plant the seeds/ideas and release them into the light of the universe and watch the natural rhythms of the earth. Grow with the flow.

Just like spring is getting ready to bloom, so are our dreams. What you are going to plant and nurture will transform into your harvest. Spring offers the opportunity for self growth and change. Gain insights as you reshape your mindset, generate optimism and see the positive results of your efforts.

Just as spring is a joyful time, we are also reminded to be more playful and curious as we become excited about what we are interested in. Approach new projects and life with a child-like spirit. This allows you to be open and receptive to learning new things and discovering what you want to manifest in the coming year ahead. Go for it and have fun.

Embrace the new chapter in your life as you connect with what excites you and focus on what you want to bring into your reality. Supercharge the energy of spring by following your true heart’s desires, set the intention, plant the new seeds and start taking action.

If you can dream it, you can build it and make it happen.

Spring is a magical time of the year. You survived the long winter and now you are ready to hit the reset button and give your new year’s resolution an update. Reprioritize and realign your goals. An abundance of energy is available to you now, invest wisely. Don’t waste it on your fears and what you don’t want.

Across the centuries and cultures, the spring has been celebrated and honoured in many ways. Here’s a look at some rituals you can use to welcome the spring equinox.

  • Plan for a festive spring meal with your family and friends; time for serving up more fresh green vegetables and fruits.
  • Take a hike. Engage in outdoor activities. Immerse yourself with nature as you engage with all of your five senses; take in the the aroma of the spring flowers and the trees budding; listen to the sounds of the birds and the children playing, and why not hug a tree.
  • Bring the outside indoors. Liven up your home with fresh flowers or get a pot or two of your favourite plants. Plant seeds as you start getting ready for your garden.
  • Get a new look. Tweak your appearance with a new hairdo or a new piece of clothing. You don’t need a total makeover, but make an effort to include a small change, something fresh.
  • Start something new; a hobby, sport, exercise, dance or any creative pursuits which also allow for healthy interaction with others. Whatever it is, make the effort to get out of your comfort zone.
  • Light a candle as you set your intentions and focus on the specifics of your dream.
  • Journalling provides a regular outlet to process your emotions and to get intentional about planting the seeds in your inner garden. As you tend your inner soil and nurture your dreams, doing a vision board will help you get crystal clear as to what you want to manifest.
  • Open the windows, let the fresh air in and let the old energy out. Do an energy cleansing with a smudge stick.
  • Ready, set, action! Roll up you shelves and get busy.  All the positive thoughts and dreams do not work if you don’t get to work.
  • Time for spring cleaning to restore balance and harmony in your home and in your life. Get rid of clutter so you can make room for the new dreams.
    1. Home – Decluttering the home may seem like a taunting job, but it can be broken down into more manageable smaller tasks. Bottom line is, if you don’t love it or use it, it’s clutter. Sell, ditch or donate your stuff. By removing stagnant energy, you bring peace   and  healthy energy into your home.
    1. Body – This is the home where you soul lives. Spring clean your body by eating more green foods. Detox with fresh vegetable juices for a day or try fasting for a few days with the the Master Cleanse (always check with your doctor first). By giving your body the rest, the liver, which acts as a filter, can do it job more efficiently as it purifies the body and reboots your whole system.
    1. Mind – Time to detox those negative thoughts. Release all the self limiting belief systems and destructive habits that no longer serve you. Take a technological break, unplug yourself, learn how to relax and pace yourself.
    1. Soul – Forgiveness is letting go of fear, resentment, anger, pain and any other hurt. Old narratives keep you  stuck in the past. Forgiveness is a conscious decision you make to release those negative feelings regardless of whether the person who hurt you deserves it or not. It’s not about reconciliation; it’s about setting yourself free from being victimized and being able to heal and move on. Your physical, mental and spiritual health depends on your forgiveness.

As you return to your own light and energy, you can bring those dreams to life by allowing the energy and opportunity of spring to guide you. Open your heart and let your passions blossom.

Celebrate joy, hope and enlightenment!

Are you ready to spring into action and bloom?
