He was one of the Twelve Apostles who was skeptical of Jesus’ Resurrection. He said he would not believe until he saw and touched the wounds of Christ. When he encountered the Risen Jesus and was allowed to see and touch His wounds, he proclaimed, “My Lord and My God.”

He went on to preach the Gospel and he continues to inspires us to seek deeper faith in Christ, strengthen our relationship with God, and renew our trust in His promises, even when we are filled with doubt. This is how we experience the transformative power of faith; God’s love and mercy in our lives and a beacon of hope.

It’s quite normal to have doubts; they do not signify a weaker faith nor should they lead us to disbelief. Don’t be afraid of your doubts. Be honest with your doubts and seek answers which will draw you closer to God, even if you don’t have the tangible evidence. Take your doubts to Him and let Him answer them.

Look at doubts as your opportunity to get to know God. Asking questions is necessary in order for us to grow our faith and to make it stronger. May your doubts be replaced with unwavering faith. Stand firm with your faith and believe with all your heart.

“Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.”

St. Augustine

Antoinette Giacobbe, M.A.

(Photo by David Bumgardner on Unsplash) Today is the Feast of St.Thomas, famously known as Doubting Thomas.
