Both can be memorable, transformative experiences where you travel to the core and learn to embrace change.

In the words of Alan Alda, “You need to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. Your inner journey is about going beyond the hustle and bustle of everyday noise, leaving the familiar behind, and venturing into unexplored territories. We travel to a place we’ve never been to, a place that we imagined and longed to visit.

To explore your inner landscapes, you must maintain an open mind and keep your eyes wide open, being curious like a child seeing things for the first time. Alan Alda also said, “Be brave to live creatively; what you’ll discover will be wonderful; yourself.”

Creativity is not just about the arts. It is part of our spiritual DNA. In our constant search for meaning in life, we are called upon to create. We are all spiritual beings and can tap into the powerful force of creativity that moves through us and helps us express ourselves.

In order to access your creativity, you need to look inward and allow yourself to slow down and listen to your inner voice, which can be challenging in today’s chaotic world.

Here are a few things you will need to make your inner journey worthwhile and help you discover who you truly are.

First of all, don’t be afraid. It’s like learning a new language when you go on a trip.

Break out of your comfort zone and your self-limiting beliefs. Trust in yourself.

Meditation is quiet time for introspection, where you can get to know yourself better.

Use a journal to help you examine your thoughts, feelings, and actions more thoroughly.

Practice mindfulness; being present is essential to experiencing life to the fullest.

Prayer is connecting with your power source and asking for guidance and giving thanks.

Spending time in nature is conducive to inner exploration and recharges your soul.

Always travel lightly. Let go of things you no longer need and enjoy the scenery and life.

Try something new and get inspired to create.

Finally, remember that it’s the journey that counts, not the destination.

As you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, you will become better equipped to navigate through life’s adventures.

A sense of perspective and purpose in our lives reconnects us with our human nature as we reflect on our emotions, our beliefs, our actions, and what is right in front of us.

Our soul awakens to another level of awe, happiness, and appreciation of life as we look forward to new and amazing experiences and realize how we are all connected to something greater than us.

Antoinette Giacobbe, M.A.

Photo by Vincent van Zalinge on Unsplash The word safari is derived from the Swahili word for journey and it means going an adventure.
